Pushing Small Edges in Limit Poker

No-limit hold’em (NLHE) has taken over as the poker variant of choice, but many players still play limit hold’em. Go online or to a b&m casino, and you can find limit hold’em games with stakes going all the way up to $100-$200 and beyond. And, even though limit and no-limit hold’em constitute a vast majority of games being played these days, you can also find other limit games such as seven card stud (hi and hi/lo), Omaha (hi and hi/lo), Crazy Pineapple, and Triple Draw. It’s possible that the $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. event at this year’s WSOP may spark some interest in forms of poker other than Texas hold’em. On a recent visit to Las Vegas, I stumbled upon a $4-$8 H.O.R.S.E. game at the MGM mostly populated by high stakes online NLHE players who were looking to pass some time playing something other than hold’em. ...
